Hey! last month I launched my photoshop cs3 tutorials website and in the last few days I received nice amount of visitors for G. yesterday I noticed I got nice position in the keyword "photoshop cs3 tutorials" and it brings the most traffic from the SE. my question is if I should get more backlinks for "photoshop cs3 tutorials" keyword or going into the "photoshop tutorials" keyword. one last question - is it possible that I'm in the sandbox for this keyword?? I'm asking this question because I know it's a quite competitive keyword thanks, Dvir.
good question... I would not know. Getting more back links is almost always good. I would definatly step that up a notch.
Go with what has already proven you success. In this case use the keyphrase "photoshop cs3 tutorials". Later on you can always narrow down your keywords.
I'd check out SEODigger.com and see what words already have a head start. Compare these to your Awstats... BTW- I dont own SEODigger..
decided to go with konradbraun advice... will get more backlinks for photoshop cs3 tutorials and later will go into photoshop tutorials.. thanks all!
I found your site somewhere in the 5th page of the serps, nice ranking for a new site no i dont think it is yet time to go for the photoshop tutorial keyword Optimise for the current one and get more backlinks going Take it to the first page and see that you will start automatically gaining for the other keywords also Then you can concentrate on the lucrative keywords with more competition
Bit of advice, keep linking but don't make all of your anchor texts exactly the same, vary it a bit and this will be much better in the long run than just concentrating on one anchor text string.
1) Site is out of SANDBOX. "photoshop tutorials" is highly competitive and it might consume 4-8 months. In the meantime you can concentrate on keywords formed with following combination competitive + non-competitive term example photoshop tutorials + cs3 = photoshop cs3 tutorial Google will always delay rankings for top level keywords ( or keywords which bring more profit through adwords/adsense). You can turn the tables by concentrating on more product specific keywords rather than traffic specific keywords.
why would you think you were sandboxed? if you were sandboxed, wouldn't you not be in the top 100 at all?
links building is critical, but you need to make sure you get quality links, otherwise it doesn't make any sence
Based on my experience, I'd suggest that you target both of them and then some ... for me it seems good to mix up the anchor text and this also simulates natural linking patterns ....... when not pursuing links, if you've got some good content, you'll attract natural links in this manner: photoshop tutorials, photoshop c3 tutorials, cs lesson, cool photoshop trick, check this out, click here, yourdomainname.com, etc. kf
