Hi everyone, I have been working on my website; http://www.dimmportal.com/ over the last couple of months and believe to have found the right design with wordpress. What do you all think of the design?? My other question is that I want to have a Paypal referall icon on this page; http://www.dimmportal.com/?p=22 But it doesn't fit very well ... Is there any other smaller logo's I can use for the same purpose and even perhaps use it in the sidebar for all pages. Thanks in advance Steven.
theme looks ok, but no about section, at least tell the visitors who you are and give them a reason to trust your advice.

It's like a website of a school (.edu) because of it's formality. I also hate the side-by-side google ads.
I like the clean look. Make the content paragraphs indenting 'justified' to have better fluidity with the theme

I think the layout was fine. I might suggest making the header banner a little more narrow. Possibly even putting the dark part behind the logo on the left, and the light side under the text description. Also, I would spend the extra time to make the fonts match. Left listings don't match content font, then google search font doesn't match google text ad font. I would just make them all the same.
thankyou all for your help, I will make the fonts all the same, cheers for that idea. The problem with the wordpress design is that it has a fixed header height and width and fixed middle pane width which is a little frustrating. The idea being the ram (sheep thing) is ironic really; My original idea was for it to be like a technology gateway but I wanted something a little more unique, so I brainstormed for different technology parts that are catchy and came to the obvious "ram", now I had heard of the 'dimm' socket before and liked the idea of ram<->sheep so went for dimm-gateway or now portal, hence, 'dimmportal'. I will fiddle with the header design and try and make the text more obvious, I'll see what I can do. cheers.
