    No changes here though on some link checkers I see different number of backlinks but when I do link: on my site it shows the old number of backlinks

    I think Google will make another update.. I have unused domain got pr5 from pr4.. Its weird right..? Lets see another two or three day..

    i am curious about how the direct links from the home page are ranked by google.

    our retail site is very dynamic as we try to be proactive vs. reactive, so if we notice a main category isn't getting any hits, it then becomes a subcategory.

    i.e.
    home page (planet-38)
    -page link (accessories)
    -page link (clothing)
    -page link (etc.)
    -etc.

    at the end of 11/07, we had 15 categories or page links from the home page. of those 15 main category pages, only 7 had a PR over 0.

    at the end of 12/07, we slimmed it down to 12 categories (made 3 pages subcategories of the other 12 main categories) or page links from the home page. and now 9 of those 12 have a PR over 0.

    but the home page PR hasn't changed and 2 of the initial main category pages' (direct link from the home page) PR dropped.

    is there some additional reading we should be doing about the links between pages within a website?

    I recently get some notices about this too. My friends just launched new sites for 1 month and got PR1 and PR2 already. :confused:

    Most of sites went from PR n/a to PR4 and PR5.

    Strangely enough my DP profile went from PR3 to 0.
