For some reason, when I try to download something with firefox, it doesn't work. I checked the download tab to make sure everything is work, and it says it is, but I still can't get it to work, and I have to use IE to download all my files, which is frustrating. Can anyone help?
This isn't going to help you, but the same thing happened to me. I think it had to do with a screwed up sector on my hard drive. First solution, uninstall, delete all firefox stuff, reinstall. Second solution, if first doesn't work, you might have to reformat to get the beast working.
tesla let us know what add ons and extensions you have installed so we might know the problem better. Shawn
HAHA! - reformat your hard drive because a "browser" has issues Tesla - did you check your antivirus settings for downloads?
I think what you can do 1. Uninstall the firefox 2. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\Mozilla 3. Delete everything there, you may have to reboot because some files may be locked by Firefox before deleting 4. Reinstall firefox That would normally work. But you will need to add in all your plugins and addons again.
Mine is also weird, when i download something it does not come up in the downloads box thing, but still downloads onto the desktop
I think you need to Click on Tools -> Downloads. At the bottom there is a "All Files Download to" "some directory". Just click on some directory where you want the downloads to be at.
How come you guys just don't go to MozillaZine Forums: Firefox ? Think you could get some fast answers there
Cause I am here sundaybrew lol Go to Tools--->Options in the main tab make sure the box for show downloads is checked. Shawn
