How and where do I sell articles?

    Hi to everyone,

I recently got into writing articles which are related to computers, internet and technology. I hope to make some money of it, but I have no idea where to start.

Are there certain websites which are interested in buying them or is there some other way?

    Help and information is appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hello Maverick.

First thing's first, you need to show your clients a portfolio. Maybe make a site or a blog where people can see your writing styles. Make sure you have examples of what you're willing to work on (SEO articles, press releases, sales pages, product reviews, etc).

Afterwards, you can market here on DP, or on freelance websites like rentacoder.com, getafreelancer.com, elance.com and so forth.

Working on these sites will get you cheap rates, especially at first, but they give you the opportunity to get some experience, a portfolio and some testimonials to show to your future clients. On DP, you can just start a thread in the Buy/Sell section where you offer your services and mention the rates you write for. Use per word or per 100 words quotas, buyers like those ^^

There are some sites that may buyarticles form you if you're an American citizen/permenant resident. Associated Content is one I have used, as you have the option to keep your rights to sell the article onto someone else too.

go to sites like getafreelancer.com and the DP > BST > Content forum

Content is king, so if good enough people will always take it.

It's only Americans so they can preserve the copyright laws. Some countries have different laws, and if fraud or plagiarism happened, the company would be virtually powerless if it was a foreigner.

Well tbh, just don't pay the man if he's bringing you copy/pasted content. There are tons of ways to check, articlechecker.com, copyscape.com, plain old Google.com and so forth.

Ah thanks ! A lot of people ask for certain reviews. What's is an article review? Is it just the introduction?
