I'm looking for people to review URLGap - a site that offers a very nice, customizable script for only $5. Both reviews on site/script design, layout and colors - and the usability of the script would be nice. Thanks.
Site design - Eye candy to my eyes, no other to explain the template, I love the colour scheme as it is clean and simple. Also, the logo is creative, like the dots are filling the gap, it definitely fits in with the Web 2.0 styler of the script, since it uses AJAX. Site layout - The layout is good, with nav bar links at the top and the footer, clearly shown for the user to click on. Nothing else really to say about it, all is positive. Usability of the script - The script is rather similiar to other ones I have tried, maybe a different could be needed to stop other people from thinking it is a different script. Furthermore, I do feel that the template for the demo should be the same as the site, so it doesn't clash in with the rest of the site and then with the actual script when purchased will have the template you are using currently for the demo. Hope it gave some feedback
Wow, some brilliant feedback there! I'll definately take every word into consideration. Ok, so, what do you think would entice you to buy the script?
The script is rather similiar to other ones I have tried, maybe a different interface could be needed to stop other people from thinking it is a different script. I left out a word, sorry. Maybe something like the most popular used urlshortens or an admin panel to delete shortened urls, view the masked link and the I.P
I actually contacted a programmer about integrating an admin backend with statistical information and everything. I hope he gets back to me though! I'll try out some of your ideas, they sound good
Defo, it was working in FF2 as well, it's just it weren't in IE7, and you know how many people still use that rubbish, lol.
