Proof Google Page Rank means NOTHING!

Check it out both sites have gotten a page rank of 3 but yet the one site doesn't even get visitors. Google Page Rank Officially means Nothing!

    300 - 500 hits a day!
    http://www.blogengage.com/ (PR3)

    3 - 5 hits a day!
    http://www.albumvotes.com (PR3)

So next time your paying tons of cash for those PR4 PR5 and ++ back links maybe this will make you think again!

Pagerank means that your site is indexed more faster :) that is all :) it does not give any better SERPs

It depends on keywords terms also. One site might not have terms people search for that is why it has less traffic or more sites are listed for the term.

Does it actually mean that though?
I notice a link from a higher PR site, DP or Digg can get my PR0 site indexed in 12-24 hours.

well it makes a big difference in selling price.

    Blogroll link PR1 - 2 USD maybe

    Blogroll link PR5 = 10 - 15 dollars that is tons more!

If you have a high PR rank, your site will land in top 10 search results. Tried and tested. I can't contest that.

Not entirely true, I have a PR0 site that ranks near the top of the second page on google for a competitive keyword, sites only a couple months old as well. PR may play a factor in what SERP you get, but having no PR doesn't mean you can't get top spot in the SERP's, its all about link building and quality content imo!

I do think PR does help. If you have lots of inbound links, your PR will be high as well.

This is why I'm somewhat befuddled by PR/SERP and all this so far (part of why I joined here, hopefully I'll learn some stuff) - I have one site that's a little over a week old, obviously PR0, and from the first day in its existence it was on the first page for multiple search terms (it's even #2 for one term). I literally had like two posts on it, had done no promoting/link trades yet and noticed I was getting hits already from Google. I don't understand, but thanks, Google, I guess?

I guess page rank is calculated on Quality of Backlinks ........

From the number of visitors at blogengage.com it seems the pagerank should be above PR3 but if its not then there may be some FLAW on the site due to which PR is 3 and 4 or 4+.....

    Thanks!

What kind of flaw are you thinking about. I'm a bit confused by your comment. But I kind of understand where you're going with it!

I am just drawing a line if 2 sites have same PR and 1 site gets 500 hits and other just 5.....Then it is not a PROOF which justifies
Also there is no direct connection with HITS to PageRank. There is no defined formula If 1 site gets 500 hits then the PR should be more then 3 OR if the site gets 5 hits PR should be less then 3.

Again I hope you know the difference between HITS and VISITORS!

My site gets 800 HITS but it has 155 Unique visitors. Coming to the point your example is NOT a proof to justify your statement (not even closer).

    Any comments?

    Thanks

The last time I looked, PR was calculated on Quality of Backlinks and not traffic.
