Did you hear David Gergen in there? What a fucking weasel. Isn't he a member of the Bohemian Grove?

I'm very pleased with this interview. He is clearly pissed off about this and I kind of like to see him pissed off in a way. I also like how forcefully he repudiated these statements. And the absolutely killer point he makes about the drug laws. Ending the War on Drugs is one of my biggest issues so... yeah I'm very pleased to hear him get that out there.

Paul was for ending the drug war when it was immensely unpopular during his 1988 Presidential campaign.

Another of Paul's positions that I agree with.

We can't keep drugs out of prisons where the government has the right to search every inch and inspects everything that enters. How in the hell does anyone think the government is ever going to stop the flow of drugs in a free society. Not to mention, the government has no right to regulate personal use of drugs like marijuana without an absurd reading of the Commerce Clause. Oh yeah, it is a monumental waste of money too.

CNN came out with some report that Ron Paul is racist against blacks and prejudiced against Gays. Wow if this is real, I thought the guy was open about everything. What do you think? I am sure there are those who think there are those people who trying to damage him. Right?

    CNN story link.

Oh wow. Look around the board a little bit. You missed the boat. Well...the boat is sinking, but GTech is going down with it. What an adorable captain of his ship, he could call it the S.S. Ignorance.

OK I know about Gtech and his beliefs but did you read the CNN report?

Of course. Any bad press is ridiculous right? Even if it might be plausible.

In this case it was not plausible. It was a dirty smear tactic that did not hold up. They are running like mad dogs to find anything to male Ron Paul look bad, but they can't find shit. Ron Paul is an honest man, with a clean record, they will have a hard time to find anything on him, so the only thing they can do is make up shit and ridicule him, but it will have the opposite affect.

Yes, we've had this story in the press for many days now. Dr. Paul explained that it was written by a Ghost Writer, and he expressed apology for it.

Actually, Dr. Paul had stopped working on that newsletter in 1988 before these issues came out.

Really? There were comments to Black people in the Rodney King Riots in 90's. So the apologies were before than? What about after. And the report says it was a letter unknown of who wrote them. But were published under his name between stints as Congressman.

And people were fired from their jobs for making such remarks about blacks such as Imus.

lpstong, he didn't write any of that stuff. it was written by ghostwriters. he's the only candidate talking about the issues that really effect black people like the unfair drug laws. he's also against the death penalty because it unfairly targets blacks. i also just listened to an interview where an evangelical nutbag was trying to get Paul to say something negative about gay people and he wouldn't say anything negative about them. Ron Paul is not racist nor homophobic. He is the only viable candidate left who is speaking the truth.

watch the interview - Ron Paul explains newsletters

Iam not American and I don't know Paul well.
But yesterday I read Paul opinion about how to deal with those wars in the world.
I think he deserves to be the USA coming president if he is really as i read about him.

From what I am seeing so far he would isolate us in some ways by pulling everyone back to the states and then when we are attacked, he would listen to the attacker to find out why. 1st he would have to have all the Jews killed because the attackers don't like Jews. Then he would have all Christians killed because the attackers don't like Christians. Then he would have to kill all woman showing any skin, because any skin makes the attackers -- well, grow horns. Then he would have to kill all pigs, because the attackers don't like pigs. Then he would have to get rid of riches, because the attackers don't like prosperity.....

Do you see where this is heading?
