After some discussion with some other webmasters, I have come up with the real process that google comes up with page rank for any site. Google has a wheel numbered from 0 to 10 (11 slots in total) They spin the wheel Then, they flip a coin for heads or tails. If heads comes up, the site gets that pagerank If tails comes up, the site gets 0 Pagerank until the next update Pretty nice strategy, what do you think guys?
I'm convinced they base it off AdWords spend. Every quarter we spend more, PR goes up. But if miss a payment or decide to rely on SEO, you better believe it's going down!
Adwords cannot be the base. My friend has a PR7 site. He hasn't even spent a single dime on advertising. Maybe, he is the lucky one.
Well, I have 1 backlink from PR5 site and many more backlinks 200+ from some not pageranked sites. Also I have enough visits per day. Can I expect maybe PR 2-3 then?
Well, maybe because many of my sites are stuck on PR0 while my Personal Blog is PR2 with no SEO or link building done. When I do a search, link: mypersonalblog.com, it gives just 9 results and when I checked their PR, it was 0. lol @Nr1host|dennis Maybe you get PR8 because of Google's crazy strategy.
You'd think so but this pr update is just weird.. I have a few thousand backlinks from pr0 sites, a few hundred from pr3-pr4 sites and its still stuck on pr0
Just have a look at google's crazy strategy. Maybe, you are the unlucky one and the toss is always 'Tails'
hm...That`s really strange...Some site of my friend got PR5 only cause they had 2 backlinks from PR7...Very strange :S
Like I see, google don`t look on that things so much and thats not nice... I NEED TO GET + REPUTATION FOR THIS hahahaha
Its not easy to predict...basically...say you have like 4 PR5 sites of high quality...your site might be ranked PR4..all you need is a couple good quality sites to have a decent PR
this is impossible...your site gain PR2 because it got a backlinks from sites. a site that has a PR can't really say that they haven't done any SEO in it, IMO, creating a worthy quality content is considered already an SEO. maybe your site gained one way links.
Well, like we got now...Google don`t have some special strategy for updating PR That`s real story, not good one, but we came to that inference very easy and that problem is solved
