So I'm guessing blogs will not be as profitable as before after this pr update eh?

I noticed numerous blogs dropping pagerank due to the fact that they sell do follow links. Guess google is getting smarter. hehe. What do you think will happen with the blog business?

Not much will happen. Page rank is just a small part of why people blog. There will still be more and more blogs created. Where are you seeing these drops? Mine have climbed every update.

Very well said. :) I'm sick of hearing of PR, when are people going to realize that it doesn't bring in traffic. You would think everyone would get the point by now but they obviously don't. There's PR threads popping up left and right.

There has been no update yet and even if there were, everyone complains every update about this sort of stuff. Listen to Zero, he is dead on!

It depends on where you check, the PR checkers are all over the place. This is not that uncommon.

It has nothing to do with blogs not being profitable.
Google is simply cutting down on the paid links - whether it's a blog or a proper website selling them, and good for them!

Maybe there'll be less crappy blog that exist purely to sell PR, but that's a relatively small number of blogs. Blogs that exist for other purposses won't be affected.
