How do I find out if my sites is penalized on Google?

Does anyone know of a valid way to check if a site is penalized on Google?

My site is in the index so I know that it isn't banned, but I think it's penalized..

How do I check?

 

sign up with google Webmaster tool and there u can check your site is banned or not........

there are banned checkers out there that might help you... and if i'm not mistaken, someone from google will contact you and will tell you about it...

NO valid way to check. You must contact to Google via GWT.

I think, we can use below tools for google banned checker.
(open with www)

iwebtool.com/google_banned

and If you are banned - then no pages from the domain will show up anywhere.

Any other situation may indicate a penalty, an SEO challenge, or a google bug.

If you have a sitemaps (Webmster tools) account, google sometimes will give you notice there if you are tripping a penalty -- but not always.

My site isn't banned and I didn't get any notice from Google.

I sent them an e-mail today... Waiting to see how they reply
