I'm currently using adbrite, and I'm not sure if I'm getting ripped off or not. I'm hoping somebody out there can help. The most important thing I should mention is that I'm not an ad tweaker, nor do I want to be. I don't and don't want to tweak ads, put in keywords, etc. I want to insert code into where I want an ad to be, and be done with it. That being said, when I use adbrite, I didn't customize them too much, and I just use their regular default banner spots. What I mean is that I get very few people actually contacting me through adbrite saying they want to advertise in my spots. I just run the default "fillers" in the adbrite network. So for comparison I figured I would post one of my best days recently. This was a really good day, but I'm hoping that somebody more knowledgeable that I about advertising can tell me if I'm doing alright for the traffic and clicks I'm getting or if I could be doing a lot better somewhere else. Here's my best day as of recently: Site-specific text ads Revenue $0.00 Impressions 6,215 Clicks 13 CTR 0.209% Network text ads Revenue $174.58 Impressions 696,809 Clicks 1,150 CTR 0.165% Network banner ads Revenue $9.42 Impressions 105,908 Clicks 171 CTR 0.161% Total: $183.99 That's straight from adbrites report. I run both text and image ads on my sites and most of my sites are video gaming related, and my largest money maker is a flash gaming site. Would another ad network give me a better payout, and if so, which one? Thanks for any direction anybody can give me on if I can make more money simply by switching my ad network.
Try a switch-over to adsense for one of your site's, compare the earnings between adbrite and adsense. I have a feeling adsense pay's more as adbrite gives me $0.08 a day while i get around $12 a day with adsense...
You use their default ad spots and get a 700-800 banner clicks a day. I'm going to test adsense though.
