I see a lot of domain names being bought and sold here for under $5. Are these domains being sold at a loss? or is there somewhere to buy domains this cheap? The cheapest place I know to buy domains is dropped domais at godaddy for 5$. If I am interested in buying and selling domains where can I buy them for the cheapest price, I use godaddy, which is like 6.95 with a coupon.

Some people buy in bulk and take a profit for selling under $5.

Some people register lots of domains then later regret it for a number of reasons, they then decide that they need to sell quick and cheaply to get some money back.

People selling dot info domains may also be taking a profit, even sold under $5.

Usually it is one of two situations. People that have bought out someone's portfolio and have taken what they want and dump the rest. Or the domain has 60-90 days to renewal and the seller just wants to get anything for it.
