So, recently i started my own web proxy based site. 2 days ago it got indexed by google. The adress is http://www.hidbyproxy.com . So,i submitted to like ~200 directories( but most of them still are approving my site) and left some comments on blogs( i tried to find .edu blogs, as i have read they are better). Maybe i am doing it too fast? But how do you get good PR? Do i need it anyways? Please, could some one explain me... And what is better to do in this situation P.S i get like ~130 impressions per day. Best regards
Just keep gradually getting links over time. Don't try to get too many all at once as it won't look natural to google. To improve PageRank you will need more links from pages with at least PR3. Don't worry too much about PR though as it is just a number and does not correspond directly to better rankings. As long as you keep getting quality links, your PageRank should improve on its own. Google only updates PageRank about twice a year though. So it can take some time before your PageRank changes.
I would focus more on getting good ranking keywords than on page rank, as the person above said it is just a number, concentrating on serp is much better. Focus on a particular keyword, or a few keywords and optimize your website with those keywords. Take a look at http://www.back-links.org It has some good relevant articles on marketing and seo. Will.

You can use your keyword as an anchor text in your forum signature that could help in building backlinks in your site.
