not for sure yet...the SC primary is still to come...I am leaning toward huck, but have not made up my mind on one candidate. Although I have ruled out Rudy and Ron Paul.
Why am I surprised you have ruled out Paul lol. I would have you down as promoting the one that wants to continue the ongoing illegal occupation of Iraq for as long as possible (providing you didn't have to get involved) so I would have had you down as a McCain supporter.
Hanover, the precinct where Dartmouth is located, just reported. But it was about 5:1 in favor of Democrats, so Paul didn't get a boost there.
Someone on the RPForums just posted that one town's info is definitely incorrect, because they put Paul @ 0 votes, and he and his whole family went and voted for Paul. There is something really funny here with the OTHER votes beating Thompson.
I oppose the illegal invasion of america and I support our troops, which shows why I am not a rp supporter.
Please do not go huck, he is a foreign affairs disaster waiting to happen. If you've really ruled out RP, then go Romney or McCain, but not Huck. I have a lot of reasons why Huck would not be a good president.
Well if that can be proven then it exposes the system for the sham that a lot of us have a feeling that it is.
d16, I'm curious to know why you haven't selected a candidate yet. All of their platforms are out there, as well as all of their histories. I mean, Giuliani is who he is, same with McCain, Paul, Huckabee etc. The only one who is not who he is, would be Romney, because he is capable of flip flopping on short notice. I mean, I can't stand Huckabee, but I respect GTech for picking him and backing him unequivocally. So are you waiting to pick a winner or what? I don't get it. What don't you know about these guys that is holding you back?
because everyday each candidate is adjusting their postition...even Huck yesterday adjusted about birth-right citizenship. I have not totally decided on a candidate. There are things I like about each candidate, and things I do not like. The thing for me is to weigh which of those positions are the most important to me, and then to vote on that. I do not vote on the popularity contest idea like many americans do.
I can appreciate that. But shouldn't shifting positions indicate some lack of credibility on the part of a candidate? I mean, Bush ran on a humble foreign policy, the opposite of what Clinton did, but as soon as he was President, they began planning to attack Iraq (pre-9/11). It seems to me that most of these guys will say anything to get elected, so maybe character should count as much as issues. Just my 2 cents.
I thought 'adjusting' was 'flip flopping' Oh I get it when repubs do it it's 'adjusting' when dems do it or someone you don't like on the repubs it's 'flip flopping'
Let me put it this way. If you had...say a girlfriend that changes her tune every other day about how she feels about you, would you trust her? Now replace girlfriend with a politician...wait a minute you might have "Bill Clinton". Nevermind
I guess this comes down to a definition of adjusting (my words) and shifting (your words)...If I can further clarify my position on not choosing a candidate, perhaps when a candidate clarifies their position (maybe flip flopping as seen in John sKerry), it presents me with more information. Since candidates started throwing their hats in the ring, it has been one clarification after another, regardless of the candidate. As I see it, I have until the primary here in SC to still decide on my candidate. Then I get to see how they clarify their positions until election day. Then based on that, I may not vote for the same candidate. I will vote for the candidate that I feel best represents me.
How did you decide upon a wife? (Just kidding, I couldn't resist) I got your earlier point, and I totally endorse people who vote their conscience, not follow the herd. I was just curious to understand the process you were using to make the decision.
big boobs, small waist, and legs that go ALL the way up. (and she is smart, Magna Cum Laude, BS in Nursing) glad I could help..
