If DP desides to take 1$ from every member. Are you going to pay 1$ monthly for using DP ofcourse I will pay Thus DP will get a lot revenue
Yeah I would. I only joined a couple of days ago and already I have learnt loads of invaluable information. Seems like a good forum, quite surprised they don't charge for different types of membership. A few forums I frequent do this and I am sure the owners are raking it in!
I dont see a point in it either, why $1 they will quickly loose a lot of members even though its only a dollar, but what about those with no paypal accounts, cc's and things like younger members. Also if it was to happen, id leave everything open and if you pay the $1 you just get something extra like a VIP forum, downloads or whatever.
Most people would since a lot of them make money from DP. This isn't a bad bad at all, would get rid of a lot of spam.
I'll pay without any doubt But i don't think so that shawn needs money from DP's forum poor members as he has already lots of money DON.
I certainly won't mind, the information and the political chats here are fantastic, certainly more than worth than $1.
I'd even pay $10 per month.. BTW If shawn charges $1 per month from every Dp member , he'll definitely get more than $10k per month...What do you think??
There are 43,932 active members, he should be collecting far more than that if he wants to. But if you look at this forum, there isn't any banners, stickers or anything. If Shawn wants money, putting a few banners here and there, a few stickies here and there, it will be tons of money for him! And there isn't a lack of request for stickies adverts as seen in the Suggestion and Feedback forums. I guess he is too rich to even bother to monetize on these. If I had such a forum, I would definitely put some banners and stickies
Reality check. Sorry no. DP is great precisely because of its openness. You wouldn't believe how fast this forum would lose members if such a scheme were implemented. Shawn makes much more money by keeping it free. If you really want to cough up some cash and support the site, go buy yourself a custom title. Regards, George
Custom title? You could do that here in DP? How much is that worth? Hehe. That's news for me. I didn't know you could pay for custom titles for accounts. Anyway, I'd pay the $1 happily. Although that won't be happening anytime soon.

I wouldn't.. if it were a one time thing I'd probably pay it but paying 1$ a month to read the same things like pr update questions and how to keep fake paypal accounts over and over again just isn't worth it.. (of course there are also plenty of good things about DP or I wouldn't even visit this forum)
