From EuroDNS to GoDaddy, or even NameCheap, how much will it cost me? Discounts? They are all .com's...

Those savings weren't meant from transferring from a different registrar to GoDaddy were they? Even so, 20% off of thousands isn't really a lot is it?

I think one of the discounts was for $6.95/ea for a transfer.

Check out the special pricing thing on the reseller accounts ;)

Maybe that will give you good prices on all of this.

Good idea! What reseller do you think would be the cheapest?

GoDaddy have a basic reseller ;) where it will not cost you much and you can get good pricing. Moreover in future if you do sell some registrations then it will be a bonus ;)

True, and the domains will go up in value with an extra year on them. However, I have to pay both the reseller account price + the transfer out fee with a slight decrease in cost, wouldn't it break even approx?

Yes you need to calculate it both ways :) Just weight it out and see which one is heavier ;)

    Thanks.

Thing is I can't really afford it if it's even like $5 a name right now that's too much for me but no one will buy the names at the current registrar...:(

Why will they not buy? Is there no provision for creating a free account?

The type of names you have will go higher in value sooner or later if you are thinking of just holding on them then you can at the current registrar and slowly build up the stage to transfer them to other registrar :)

If anything I'd email the registrars first and ask them

If you want to transfer to Godaddy or Namecheap, email them & ask them for the best deal they'd give you to transfer 450 domains to them. They'd be willing to give you a lower price. Or, you can use Name.com which is $5.99 reg & transfers.

Any domain registrar would be wiiling to give you a special discount if you are going transfer 450 names to them.

Thanks for your help guys, I guess a mod can close this thread because I think these names are now sold, which will be for a loss but still saves me from spending more money to tranfer out and to pretty much end up with the same in the end.

    Thanks ;)
