    http : // submissions.ask.com/ping?sitemap=yousitemap.xml

    Hi,
the info above isn't quite correct sorry. If you ping that with your url in the sitemap place you get a google search. The follow is the correct ping URL..
    http: //submissions.ask.com/ping?sitemap=http%3A//www.dream2live.com/sitemap_dream.xml
Just remove the - "w w w.dream2live.com/sitemap_dream.xml" - and place your sitemap URL in it's place without the http://
Also I have had to put extra space in places so I can place this reply (I can place live links)

    have a great 2008

Submission won't help you much. Once your site is old enough you will find yourself included in Ask :)

Ask is a crawler, meaning the main results are compiled by spidering the web. No need to submit to Ask as they will eventually find your site.

I agree, it takes a while for ask.com to crawl your site. The only way to speed this process up is to generate a sitemap file and submit it ask.com.

since ask.com writes in above sitmap submission REPLY page

    "....... Ask.com is a proud participant in the Sitemaps via robots.txt protocol . ...... "
that most likely also means that ask.com is supporting the

    sitemapindex.xml
file scheme as used by Google ( and as published in your robots.txt )

ask.com is botting regularly once you are in.
needless to say that you of course have your own RSS feed and submitted it to all known major RSS directories and ping all RSS directories ... to more easily be found for each new article published ...
