http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/tms/2008/01/players_are_the_problem_not_um.shtml Just like all cricket lovers I hope the bad phase of cricket will pass and am optimistic that Australians and ICC will restrain themselves from doing these kinds of acts in future.
Haha, very entertaining, thanks a lot for sharing the images with us! Lots of talk on this cricket match lately!
OP appears to be doing selective quoting and have stopped in the quote from that article just before the part where it says and where he questions the sportsmanship of Indian players such as Sreesanth - The quote also misses out the part Here's the sad part: Indians are screaming and shouting that no other teamplayer heard Harbhajan calling Australia's only black player a monkey. As such he is innocent. Yet their behaviour when Symond's was playing in India last year with the crowd having monkey banners and doing monkey chants at him was on public display to the entire world. The fact that the images you provided were done by Indians portraying Symond's as a monkey and there are examples of more is also visible to the world. The irony is that Indians and their media are saying Australians are racist in this affair right now. They really should have a look at their own backyard. At least in this entire affair, India has had backing from the Australian media and cricket lovers who took their side against their own cricket team. The crowds supported India as they have other visiting teams. Sportsmanship goes beyond the field, from those who play a sport, to the supporters and backers of the sport as well.
Claudek lol! Get a Life! Australians are always known for their bad sportsmanship and their controversial sporting history. Everyone know how raciest the Aussies are. I may post here 1000 lines debating this thing. But I won't do as I remember an old quote:- "Arguing with ********** is like wrestling with a pig in mud. After a while you realize that while you are getting dirty, the pig is actually enjoying it" Aussies behaved like "crying babies". Even our street cricketers don't do that and settle everything with bat and ball.
I agree, wholeheartedly. We should concentrate more on what happens on the field where Australia were very generously offering some free coaching to a mediocre Indian side.
Oddly enough you have not adressed what I have mentioned about India so far. Shows how open-minded you were when you began this thread. As far as your quote goes, you came in dirty so in fact a pig in this case would get dirty from you without requiring mud. As for crying babies, India have been the ones crying so far. If they had to settle with bat and ball, they would not have been crying and stromping and threatening to go back to India. Any logical person can see who is crying in this scenario so far.
Sorry to say, this time Australia crossed it's limits. If they think that is hard but fair, they should be ready to be dented. I have a high regard to Australian team till now and they proved it wrong, though still I have high respect for Gilly, Warne and Lee. Only Extreme Australian fanatics can enjoy the win. One thing is clear, they can't take it what they give to other visiting teams. I believe Indian team responded well (but sad) by counter attacking on Hogg as per the team's zero tolerance policy That, of course, does not offer any defence for racism. If Harbhajan Singh did racially abuse Symonds, he must be punished for it Very true. But Proctor failed to provide any evidences on the incident. And he also said in the report that he believe only one group is telling the truth! Hahaha, what a comment!!
Well that was funny one and good to see it. You amy see more pics soon on website if this drama is contibe for more days.
