I have this domain just sitting there... how should I use it?

    Hi,

I have owned NetDevelopment. com for a long time. I used to actually use it, but then got busy with other sites, etc... Instead of just letting it sit there, what should I do with it? What type of site?

I have a few ideas... i'd be stupid if I didnt have a few ideas, but I figure its best to just see what everyone says.

    Thank you for your help!

Very good domain and can have good use.

Quite easy to propose many good use, so I would give a special one.

a technical site related to M$ .net development, may include a forum.

Ehhh before the .com bubble. I def. would've let it go for $15K, lol.

Like I said, you can open an internet blog. Other than that... a web hosting/web design business if that's what you can do. It's kind of long for my taste, but still catchy.

You could also take financial angle.

Something like "Net Development: The simple web guide to developing and protecting your net worth."

Then just create some simple directory-like pages along the lines of...

    http://netdevelopment.com/debt-consolidation/
    http://netdevelopment.com/low-interest-loans/
    http://netdevelopment.com/low-rate-mortgage-loans/
    etc...

On each of these pages you'd have a curated directory of links to high-quality (non-commercial) resources around the web pertaining to these topics as well as a single highly-targeted CJ offer.

Be sure to use standards-based semantic markup and keyword-rich title and meta tags.

Add a few links to the directory every week so you'll get some points for fresh content.

Of course, this is a highly competitive field so it may be difficult to get rank and drive traffic, but it's just one idea out of many for that domain.

    Even

    net-development.com

with the dash is 688 dollars on netsol.com

So without the dash is probably a good investment.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts... Some good ideas here.

    I have a question.

I thought about doing something related to .NET, but even though I am very familiar with all kinds of technology, I dont know much about .NET... is .NET still around, is it still growing, will it go away soon?

Also, I was thinking about a web development resource site, but thats WAY over done... maybe some specific niche, like real estate websites, or wordpress, or CMSs, or doctor websites, or family websites, or????? What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks for your help on this!

put a blog up there and get some legitimate free articles up.

cause its a good domain get some decent articles. you can pay someone for about .2cents a word

    get about 40 200word articles

and make them post at 2 day intervals

then get a bit of seo done on it

that should increase the value of the domain!

If you don't have time to develop it, I would park it with domain for sale on the page. See my sig for a good paying park company.

It would be good to be devloped, and maybe someone will visit the parked page and place an offer.

    That's a pretty good domain!
