Hi folks! I must admit I'm very new when it comes to monetizing a blog... Mine is over a year old and I have just started monetizing it. Or at least trying. I currently have Adsense and Project Wonderful ads. I used common sense for placement and I don't want to have to many ads, as I focus on content. That said, Adsense isn't doing well at all... so I was wondering about my placement. Would you mind having a lot at it and give me feedback? Thanks! The blog is Correr Es Mi Destino
I see you are displaying on 1 ad close to the top and that is it, plus it is not blending in that good with the site. If I were you, I would use different tops of ads in different places, but all text ads, that way you have better chance of people clicking on it, even between you text use 460x15 4 keywords and so on. Hope this helps
Mm.. I'm not an expert in AdSense as my blog is only a few months old as well (only a few dollars from AdSense).. but most people will suggest to make it "blend-in" to your post. So, have the background to be the same as your posts (blue instead of that pink purple-ish) and the color of the links to be the same as the link colors on all of your site
I would increase the amount of ads if you want to increase the amount of clicks. At the moment you currently only have 2 locations that would be available for clicking. You can place adsense around a couple other locations without looking too Ad dense. Or if that is absolutely not an option at least use a bigger size ad? Try 3 placements 1 on the top and 1 on the side. Love the site look by the way.
Thanks to the three of you! I followed your advice and tried to blend the ad unit. Looks better this way anyway. Solutions (great pseudo forum forum help! ;-), I might add more units... I'm still hesitating a bit because to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of ads already, so I was taking it easy. Bigger size ads is also an option For now, I still don't know what makes people click... relevance of ads, placement...? Thanks for you help, I appreciate! If anyone else has a comment...
