And "legal" immigrants are welcomed with open arms this country was built around immigrants and if you go to san francisco you won't regret it. But it is expensive but thats for a reason. Its a beautiful and a very interesting town. Do it get all the paper work together and come on over. If you don't feel like the big city too much you can try out west. Its great. People are nice but stay out of the ghetto communities lol. And like you said, moving to america will open the world to you more with more money you make. Income tax might not be around much longer if ron paul can win in 08 so you could turn that money you make either into your very own house or keep your apartment and travel the world. Sounds like a very fun lifestyle do it!

Please don't think that we're all arrogant. I understand that's it's pretty easy to join in on disliking what America is doing in the world right now, but that doesn't mean that a majority of the people living there agree with that the country does. I don't know how much is publicized overseas, but the approval rating of Bush is around 24% right now, meaning 75% of Americans don't like Bush, mostly because of the decisions he and his cabinent have made while in power. Either way, I would like to see someone coming to America, but you should do your research first and make sure you like America and not just the idea. Go to the American Embassy and apply for a visa and visit for as long as you can afford to get a feel for the actual lifestyle and possibly to look for a place to live if you do enjoy it here that much. Just keep in mind that foreign perception may not be exactly the same as every place in America. The country is massive, which leads to very, very different lifestyles across the country with the cost of living varying with those life styles. For example, it will cost more to live in California because of State taxes on income and sales. For information about gaining citizenship, you should definitely contact the US Embassy in your country; they should have all the information you'll need. Im amazed over the last few years how americans seem to think that the world hates them, i dont think thats the case, many of us foreigners have a problem with Bush, but we will also most likely dislike any new president that you get, we dont like our own leader, well i cant speak for everyone there actually. I would like to point out how blinded people can be to the obvious. Its always going to make me wonder though how either side in a way will always believe that their the good guys, that their killing is somehow justified. Regarding what news we get about america, well if i open a paper, watch the news on tv, turn on a national radio station or surf the internet then i get it all rammed down my throat. America usually gives me the impression though that a significant number of its citizens almost forget that theres a world outside of the country. They often appear to be consumed in themselves and in my eyes tend to give a damn more since the last 6 or 7 years. Dark times are ahead for the US, welcome to the real world.

Thats true, Britain has had is backside kicked plenty of times, for a small island i think we have not done too bad, granted, the Romans ruled us for 400 years, about the age of the USA? something like that. You know a civil war sounds about right. But change the civil war to a race war because that is what it is going to be. All the debate over illegal immigration from Mexico is getting a lot of people pissed off and it won't be long before it spills over into violence. As for not liking a new president I am right there with ya and I am I guess an insider point of view since I am an American. There ain't ever anyone worth voting for because they are all crooked crooks that make a bunch of promises they will never keep. If I get started I won't stop so I am going to try to simmer down. Even though I have a solution to the problem nobody wants to hear it and my solution would basically ruin all foreign relations and possibly start a nuclear war. That ain't an over exaggeration either. My solution would piss so many people off that they would be trying to nuke our asses here in America. Oh well I ain't going to get into it.

Come to the UK, you can get in through the channel tunnel, all you have to do is make your own way to france, climb the fence in darkness and sneak into the tunnel, preferably you and 50 others, safety in numbers take the workmans route, you may get arrested when you enter britain but hey, nice warm cell, friendly coppers, free interpretation, room service for your cell too, released after brief questioning as long as you promise to attend a few meetings, dont worry about them, they will forget all about you.
