This remains to be seen, promote it aggressively, accept the best links, make it such that those on your directory really benefits from it. Who knows you may be another dmoz? The main thing is never look at your directory as ordinary, look at it as your seedling, nurture and grow it. I myself is trying for my directory, hope that we succeed! Cheers!
Well it is a free template, free version of the script. Looks like any of thousands of others that have been set up without investing anything into it. imo you need to remove the adsense if your going to be charging review fees. With review fees people are paying a fee to be promoted on your site and do not need adsense there distracting from their listings. i find it interesting that one of your submissions guidelines "Do not submit sites made for adsence or other ad services." Yet it is fairly clear that the directory itself is MFA.
Well... "Just Another Directory Site"... Good Colours, adsense is well dissimulated, sites categories and listing should kept more attention.
Yes, Template is FREE. Script is paid version of PHPLD. No very big investment (only domain price + script = less 100 bucks) I agree with you 2 weeks ago this directory was absolutely free for submissions. Before NY i started experiment and only in just 2 weeks earned 100$ in paid submissions. Yeap. It's right because i "copy+paste" these rules from my another free site which work without adsense ads Thank you very much all for your reviews.
I like it, but then again it looks pretty ordinary. You should monetize it with affiliate banners instead of the adsense. Where did you get the script?
