That is the main reason I always go for big hosting companies. Safety of the business should be the main priority.

TmzHosting.com can transfer all of your sites for free to our host. Check our out our plans on our site. We don't offer unlimited as we don't over sell.

***** WE CAN TRANSFER YOUR SITES FOR FREE UNTIL THE SERVER IS ONLINE. SWITCH BEFORE THE SERVER GOES OFFLINE.*****

Or it's someone that is faking he's the owner... So that would mean 2 companies name shattered in 1 action...
    That would be evil :p

Thank you for clarifying. Although it seems that those who did not backup data must have lost everything.

Every disaster is a new thing to learn from :).

Now this has turned into a host-promotion thread...If you're frustrated with them, just stick with a big-time company like HostGator, less chance of anything going wrong...

I never rely my business with hosting offer like that. One time payment only, unlimited bandwidth and so on. Stick to the big guys as they don't built a reputation in just 1 years or 2.

I hate to see these types of promises. More than that, I hate to see people fall into these traps. I've written a fairly popular article on it.

If you would like, to hopefully recover some of the loss you've incurred, i'd love to take you on as a new client. I'll try to give you a few months free or something so that it isn't as bad as it possibly could have been. PM me if you are interested.

If Hastyhost goes down. What a surprize.... not!!

"I'm back with an incredible deal for Lifetime hosting. - You only pay a one time payment of only $49.95 - NOTHING ELSE EVER AGAIN!"

This was his offer. Lifetime here means the lifetime of Hastyhost, not yours.

If you are stupid enough to believe that he will be long time online you deserve what you got. If you are going to complain, you have to complain about yourself being stupid.
