It's pretty straight forward. If you have your own downloadable product you can sell it through clickbank which means they will take care of all the payment processing and then send you a check at the end of the month. They also pay your affiliates and you product will be listed in their marketplace.

If you are an affiliate you can easily signup for any product in their marketplace. When you refer a visitor to a site that is selling something and that visitor buys clickbank gives you a commission and they send you a check at the end of each month for all the referrals you make.

    Pretty much what John said.

There are a few specific clickbank forums around that you should probably try to find with more detailed questions.

With clickbank, the affiliates will do a lot of the advertising for you if they're seling your product which is why so many people use it.

Yeah call me stupid, but every time I see a site that looks like it's selling a CB product, I have just hit the "back" button.

Now I see they might have some use, and want to know how they work too! There's just one thing that's not so clear in my mind: Who closes the deal?

I still don't understand: do you "sell" the product with your landing page, and then forward them to a generic payment page to purchase, or do you simply "review the product" really well with your landing page and then forward them to the real website of the product?

In other words, when they click "Buy Now" are they taken to another website (with a completely different design and image etc), or are they simply taken to a generic payment page, so you can retain your site's image and build trust?

Thanks for the quick response, but a browse through only seems to add to my question:

It appears as if the Hoplink sends a visitor to the publisher's site. So I don't keep the image. Am I correct?
