This will be my first post on this forum. I am also very new to Google Adsense. I believe that your'e not allowed to discuss exact payments per click or impressions, as per Google's TOS.....but, is it NORMAL to receive over $1.00 a click? Early last month, I started a Military-related forum.....grew it to where it currently is, with just over 250 active members......and, each click has been consistently bringing in over $1.50. Is that common for that Niche? I have no complaints whatsoever.....but, are there huge differences in the payouts of ads from one niche to the next?
No it is not normal alot of sites make pennies per click. It depends on topic and ads on site you might have found a good topic.
$1.00 clicks are common in a good niche...i have a site that will pay nearly $2.00 a click, and then my game site will pay 2 cents a click...so there is huge variation from niche to niche. Keep rockin those $1.00 clicks and you'll be rich soon.
wow.....2 responses in a matter of minutes.....Iv'e never been to a forum with immediate feedback, like that....I think I'm starting to like this place already... Thanks rcj and Christian, for your quick responses!
Yep, depends on niche. If you have a games site/proxy making $2 a click, it is a lot, but if you have a mortgage site making $2/click it isn't All relitive.
If you don't mind me asking, what niche is your first site in?.....($2.00/click...)......I just started developing a community around something that interested me, and when I got my first click early last month, it seemed like it was almost TOO MUCH......I mean, no complaints here....lol.....all of them are made honestly, in accordance with Google's TOS....
I don't mind saying, because it's not a huge secret, but the middle link in my signature is the site that can produce up to $2.00 clicks. Feel free to try and rank in that niche (if you can even call it a niche) because the competition is crazy hard to beat.
It does take alot of work to get those clicks though.....my forum went over 285 members today, but, getting them to become return visitors, is the difficult part.....
I would love to get consistent $1.00+ clicks. I get the occasional clicks over a dollar, but most are pennies.
It's normal to make $1 a click, you have a good niche there but I have seen people getting more than a dollar a click.
Bank, loan and lending, credit, etc.... pay high . A commission of $1 per click or even $2 is not un common. The best I ever got was $5.24 for one click that target credit reporting. In the old days this may have been much more. I noticied sizeable drop in $$ after they went public. They do not dislclose the percentages of aff. earnings to you. The point is your making cash. In the case of your target of a military site remember that this is a election year and political campaigns will shell out the cash and use military keyword pharses in thier adsense campaigns
Interesting, I use to be able to see click values on test sites, but it is not easy to calculate by hits when you have a hundred or more, so when I was first getting started, there were a few high paying categories, but it was two years ago when I last saw a $5.00 plus click. No doubt, there a several still in the $2.00 range, but even mortgages have edged down since subprime collapse. After all, the bad or no credit mortgage deals were paying the most. LendingTree hits are way down, as are all the other major players, but insurance is still my best paying category, especially term life ads. Good luck to all, Mike
