The idea of any supporter of the "say anything to get elected" mainstream candidates calling Ron Paul a "flip flopper" is so hypocritical that really a new word would have to be made up to adequately describe it.

Gotta love how Gtech tries his best to twist things, pathetic really..

    My response
I am OBVIOUSLY QUESTIONING d16man who is stating RP will not secure our borders, I am NOT stating RP will not secure the border, jesus WTF Gtech can you not stop the dishonesty!?
Of course not, he tries to take my post out of context as usual. You trully should get that job of those people you always cry about who misquote Rush.

I guess with how Gtech loves to take things out of context, bold what he wants you to see, I should have stated it as..

Adding an extra '?' mark, I'd of assumed everyone was intelligent enough on here to get the point the way I put it out there. Guess I was wrong, I gave Gtech too much credit.

    That I can respect ;)

I do like both commercials myself, but agree it's all fluff no substance. Still nice to see friendly faces in the political season.

On immigration, there is no question. His record clearly shows such. As for anything else, he really doesn't have any accomplishments or leadership experience. Unlike other candidates, who have actually led, been in charge of States, been required to make tough decisions, RP has been pretty much been asleep in an office with no accomplishments for the past ten years.

In short, RP hasn't had the opportunity to fail or succeed because he's never been in a position of leadership or responsibility to do so.

Lol the immigration thing again. At least he isn't as bad as d16man blatantly copying crap without even looking, calling the Real ID Act anything other than the Real ID Act, and not even reading the rebuttal to the links he posted, before he even posted 'em.

You're talking about Huck now aren't you?
Yes his record clearly shows the flip flopping..

So much flip flopping, so little time to list them all ;)

Been a while since I've done an update.

Old news: Iowa. No need for spin there. Winners don't have to spin.

I've seen some jump for joy about a certain candidate beating Guiliani. Not sure that's much of a right to jump for joy about, considering Guiliani did not campaign in Iowa, New Hampshire or South Carolina. He's going for Florida. So a win over him, doesn't mean anything right now, for ANY candidate, until we get to Floriday. Huge gamble on his part, but nationally, he's still doing well.

New Hampshire. Pretty much everyone knows Romney and McCain have been leading there for a long time. They have extensive support there and polls have favored them for as long as I can remember. The real battle will be for third place here (not discounting the win for either McCain or Romney).

    Latest NH Poll:

    http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/2008/01/obama-up-by-13.html

    • McCain: 34%; up from 27% in mid-December.
    • Romney: 30%; down from 34%.
    • Mike Huckabee: 13%; up from 9%.
    • Rep. Ron Paul: 8%; down from 9%.
    • Rudy Giuliani: 8%; down from 11%.
    • No one else above 3%.

Huckabee is holding a strong thrid place. Real Clear Politics shows this as well.

Of course, anything can (and most often does) in New Hampshire.

Still not sure on the Fair Tax? Want to know more about it? Here's a great summary of how the Fair Tax system works. A responsible "alternative" to the IRS. I don't think many would argue getting rid of the IRS, however, an honest person would want to know what would replace it.

Concerned about Health Care? Many Americans are. We need real leadership to tackle this issue, not someone who just wants to dismantle it. Mike Huckabee talks about his focus on health care issues here.

Video of Mike, addressing Health Care issues.

Veteran's issues are always important. Mike Huckabee believes in honor for our soldiers. While some candidates do not understand honor, and only seek to dishonor their sacrifices by calling for defeat, even in a time when real change and progress is being made. Here's a Video clip of Mike and Chuck on Veterans.

More information on Mike Huckabee on the Veteran's Bill of Rights.

Border Security Important? It seems to be a center piece of most campaigns. Some have solutions, others just talk about what they think out to be done. Here is Mike Huckabee's 9 Point Border Security Plan.

Mike Huckabee still leads, by a good margin, in South Carolina

Have not seen new polls this year on many of the upcoming states. Seems everyone is focusing on one primary at a time.

More to follow. Hopefully I won't have to come over into the Ron Paul update thread. That's a subtle hint ;)

I'd like to take this opportunity to remind Ron Paul or other candidate supporters not to trash this thread, and to show more class than some people show to our own update threads.

Please allow Wade his updates, there are several Huckabee supporters in the forum who benefit from them.

Something tells me RP is afraid to go on tv.. The "mainstream" media invited him on yesterday and today (on Fox News), and he refused... Strange bird...

So they invite him after the fact? That's total BS! I would have refused as well. Fuck Faux news and the snubs that run it.

After what fact? Are you still crying that RP was not invited to a forum where he did not belong in the first place (again, according to the requirements)...?

WTF are you his lapdog? He did not ask a question but made a stupid comment. It's been proven time and time again that Mia's post are personal and not related to the facts. He dreams to be like me, hence the envy and the personal attacks.
