I will also post a positive review of getafreelancer, full of good hard-working people from all across the globe.
Just read some 'SEO' articles, they'll tell you: a) spamming blogs is never a good idea. b) building too many links at an alarming rate is never good either. Unless of course, your friend is paying you $10 a day to post here, so you thought you'd utilise that and pay a less fortunate person the same wage? Whatever your reasons, it's immoral.
Yea there is nothing racist about this thread at all. It is simply reality. People in India get paid very low wages much smaller than you would even think possible. A friend of mine is from India and his parents pay their guards 20 bucks a month and their top body guard that has been with them for a long time and is extremely loyal gets 80 bucks a month. So a lot of indians would love to do work, no matter how tedious, for a steady wage of $10 a day working 8 hours. That would make them wealthier than a good portion of people over there (around $220 a month if it was 5 days a week). That's over 3x as much as a highly trained and skilled body guard and almost twice as much as a college graduate working at a hospital in a full time job (as noted by another person in this thread). So by paying that wage you wouldn't even be exploiting the labor at all you would be doing them a great service and paying them way more than they'd be able to earn with a steady job in India.
the fact is that living costs are different in india, ten bucks probably buys food for a week there but for us it buys one meal...it's just the way it is, it doesn't necessarily make us richer and them poorer, it's only economically that it works out that way...
Its true that you can get cheaper labour in India - thing is that: the way their economy is growing... India will be the second world superpower right after china in less than 30 years. We'll be doing work for them for cheap! LOL
yup it is true. People in india get paid very little. If you want to make the big bucks you need to find something you can charge people for and just outsource the work to these poor people. Services like mturk work great for it.
Busted! Just caught yourself out by admitting to searching for viagra. Porn, I can understand, but viagra? God, just go buy Playboy and stick it on the walls around you if it's that big a problem Or is 'small' the optimum word in this case? Anyway, India isn't in any sense poorer than the 'developed' countries, it is just less greedier. These Indian guys will work for next to nothing. But, sitting at home with your Merc outside and your new Plasma screen in the next room, would you work for or below minimum wage?
To be fair to LLLL when I first saw his post I was a bit upset, I am not Indian but the wording sounded and appeared offensive. But after reading through the posts, I guess he just post it with a bit of humor. Given that everyone demands everyone else to be politically correct, the thread title may not be a very desirable one. But lets give and take a bit. No harm done and LLLL did explained. Cheers!
My writer is in India,He has full time job and loves to write in spare time and very popular here on DP.We have been working together over a year now ,last month i paid him over $1000 for his work .This is just every day maintaining of some sites and keeping it fresh. If i had him working for me 8 hours i would expect his rate would be about $70.00 a day.
Thanks, I really don't know what other term I can use...slaves? I have found a group of people which work for $1.5-2/hr, testing their work, hopefully they can help get the job done I'm not super cheap though, I'd give them big bonuses after profits start to roll in, I mean their work is .1% paid compared to the revenue, so why not be respectful and reward them
lol this is all very hilarious, but let's be honest, regardless of whether or not 10 bucks is a fortune in india people want to hire them to take advantage by paying them less then what their labor is actually worth. this is hilarious because the OP first says something like "hey indians work for dirt, where can i get me some indians?" then in a later post he says "i'm just using the word indian to refer to all people in poor countries". but the fact of the matter is the economy is all supply and demand no matter where you live, in india the money supply (for lack of a better term) is low, therefore money is worth more there. we can either be politically correct and not use indian labor at all because we can't afford to pay them the $100+ per day they'd get here, or we can pay them what is a pretty good wage in their situation and provide a good living to them while also receiving good benefit ourselves.
