Yeah, My laptop came with vista, I immediately downgraded, because I tried vista previously with my other computer which was more powerful, so obviously I wouldn't run it on my laptop. I also downgraded my brothers laptop right when he got it.
Never upgraded because I heard of all the problems it was having. Also, I plan on getting a new computer soon, so there was no point in upgrading this one.
I wont upgrade ever. Useless crap = Vista. No need for it fix xp first then talk about jazzing up the same old crap. I will go linux before I ever upgrade to vista. Shawn
I upgraded to vista 3 minuites ago, And I'm downgrading it again tonight (Needed Vista for testing software)
Huh..I am using Vista since last 9 months on my laptop. Not yet downgrad to XP and never going to downgrad to XP I love using Vista. DON.
You will till it starts eating slices of ram for breakfast and none of your programs work right anymore. I know 9 months you have been lucky so far that is all. Shawn
I have both. To be honest Vista runs much quicker here but probably because im on a 64 bit system and my XP is only 32.
It all depends what you use it for. If it's a movie, some music and some net you can keep it. Everything else youre %$#^ed.
Im a Mac user and never used Vista and only used XP about a year. Yes, i have to say it... I LOVE THIS THREAD!!!! A month ago, i installed xp im my Macbook Pro so now i have both but ive only used xp to play Pro Evolution Soccer that it wont work on Mac... Thanks, fuser
Games is one thing for XP and not Vista, maybe until 2-3 years from now on. BTW: Didn't I make that rainbow for you. Also, I can make you a higher quality avatar if you want.
Hi, yes i think you did! I had the design but couldnt make it the way i wanted.. I love mac but i also love soccer games and the best soccer game is not compatible with mac. Thats why i installed xp, to play that game... Thanks, fuser
I got Vista on a new computer. Dell had some choice on their site to get XP, but it was not configurable with other options that I also wanted. So, I figured in 5+ years we will all be using nothing but Vista, might as well dive in now. It's always this way with a new MS operating system; the new version comes out and everyone sits on the fence for a while with a more stable more familiar older version. There are past favorites that are recalled with fondness (Win98, WinXP) as well as duds (WinME). So far, I'm finding that one feature I thought I'd love to be a let down. I'm referring to the "run as user"/"run as administrator" modes that help with security. Unfortunately, this requires that every single change that I make in "user" mode requires typing in an admin password (including deleting the crap desktop shortcuts that you don't want to look at). Every time. EVERY! TIME! I'm all for protecting the system from unwanted system changes, but this is ridiculous. But I digress. Besides a few browser crashes that I could just as easily blame on IE7 or Google Desktop, I'm not too annoyed. Not overly impressed either.
