Alright, I'm thinking of making a webmaster magazine, in ebook form.
The zine would contain, articles, tips, and resources for webmasters to use.
It would cover everything from SEO, to advertising, to adsense, to proxy promotion, to blogs, and blog promotion, and much more.

I would need people to write articles for it, and in return you get a link to your website under your article, and in the back of the zine, where all of the links would be placed.

I would have around 3 main writers, who would get their link places, like the others, but would also get a share of the revenue from in-zine advertisments.

I am highly considering doing this, but I want to see if people would actually help me.

All feedback, and ideas are appreciated!

    Thanks fellow DPers!

How would you get the magazine out? Like through email spam lists? Or real subscribers?

I reckon it would be better to create a digitalpoint magazine and just put all sorts of information that has happened in that month in digitalpoint, as well as put in adnense tips, hosting offers, etc etc etc

I would use the revenue I made for the first few months in advertising for it.
I post about it in forums, and I would also ask the article writers to help a little, as in return it would help advertise their article, and link.

BTW the zine would be completely FREE to everyone

I tried a few years ago to do a webzine and asked people to contribute for free in exchange for a link. It worked for a short while and than the contributors dried up and the webzine never took off. You will need to invest money upfront in both advertising and hiring writers in order for it to be a success.

You can make some good money in advertising once you build a reader base. I would not rely on doing this without investing money upfront. Even if you get people to agree, they may not stick with it.

This was my experience and you may prove me wrong but I doubt unless you invest some good money upfront it will work.
