How many links per page ?

External or internal links, what's the optimum number and what's considered to be too much ?

I'm wondering if someone can check my site http://www.hannahmontanazone.com/ and look at the footer. Do you think those links help ? And would making the comment links nofollow help ?

I see a lot of sites ranking very well and linking to each other.
20-30-40 links... it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Too many links to no quality sites may harm you, which is called bad neighbor effect but few links to trusted sites from your niche is actually a plus.
making comments no-follow will save your site from spam and save you sometime you will spend fighting that spam:)

Linking to key pages at the bottom of your home page helps in seo and has helped me with many no 1 positions for major keywords on google AU

Its good to link to your internal areas of the site from the homepage to increase their rankings due to the fact that the least steps away from your homepage the better they will rank. As far as linking out to other sites, my opinion is you should link out to some authroity sites or high rankings sites as opposed to lower ranking, but if these are your sites or your friends then I can see why you would.

i think 50 links for per page, enough. if you have more links for this google perceive like spam... it closed and went sandbox my some domain for this..

I was thinking the same. I believe the answer is that the number of internal links doesn't matter. ie. there is no ceiling.

just a guess, but it makes sense.

    :O)

damn this girl is only 15? :(

IMO, as long as you're not linking to bad sites (spam/malware and so on) or having a site full of spam, you're fine with link quantity. I've seen 100 links on 1 wiki post at some point (back before "no follow").

Hmmm, I think you must have 20 or 30 links per page, but those links must be categorized properly
