Real Estate Directories. Which ones are good?

I´m putting together a list of real estate directories which benefit real estate websites traffic wise. Not interested in PR, so if you want to mention it, please don´t. I´m interested in real estate directories which do rank for real estate related terms and are likely to give direct traffic to websites listed. I will start out with a few, and hopefully some of you will add a few more so that real estate webmasters on this forum are going to find some quality real estate directories to submit their real estate sites to.

A search on Google for the term real estate directory should yield some nice results.

 

Is Property Hogs new? I've never heard of it.

 

Right. The top 2 of that search are www.justrealestate.org and www.reals.com.

#3 is Realtor.com, so not really applicable.

 

I'm seeing the same thing over here.

 

Property Hogs is about 6 months old.

 

IMO realtor.com is total crap!

 

Not really a directory, although you can use it to find a Realtor.

And yes, they do screw over agents on the listing fees (homes) on Realtor.com and dues for NAR membership (which is on top of your local and state membership dues).

Bruce Swedal is a realtor, I wonder what he thinks of it...

Ayup. Realtor.com really rakes in the dough.

As we've drifted a bit off topic, which is partially my fault, I don't know that I can tell you which directories send traffic beyond what's on the front page of Big G. However, I hope to have my own RE directory on that page by the end of the year. Check back with me then.

Is it owned by someone on DP? What sort of terms does it rank for?

Great stuff guys, I just bought the domain Ideal Realtor.com and am not sure what to do with it... but now I know how to promote it and some of my other real estate sites.

 

So do I, but this thread is about sharing free resources for those who want to learn how to do it themselves.
