Before My blog was terminated for going against Blogspots Terms, I went against alot of the traditional ways your suppose to build your SEO website and I found my self 5 month later on both yahoo and googles Front pages of very popular search terms. the key words were free movies, free movie, free films, watch movies.

and I was on the 3rd page on google under the keywords Comedy Movies, Horror, and download movies.

so somewhere on my site I was doing somthing that most people have not taped in to. and this is without using the most commonly used SEO strategies and tricks.

My site was getting around 28k+ uniques every day.

 

Is this about seo above??

As far a seo is concerned " I recently saw a post that concerned me" is it better to submit your web site to the directories " or the major search engines???

 

From all the different sources I have learned SEO from...

Submitting to search engines should be a last resort. If your site can't get indexed the normal way, then you need to use the submit tool. All sites should eventually get indexed within a week or so.

It is better to submit your url to different sites to get backlinks. Sites that are already indexed and are not using no follow will get your site indexed. Especially if they have a high PR.

 

My blog gets listed first when searched on google.

still my page rank is 0.....

Three possible reasons, Shreyash.

1.) Your site is new and doesn't have a lot of links yet. Which means you're also experiencing a "fresh content boost" as well.

2.) You forgot to promote your site and get other related sites to link back to yours.

3.) Your site is being linked to by a lot of low-quality sites and directories that don't have a lot of PR to distribute anyway, or your site is being linked to by sites that have blocked Google from following the links with the rel="nofollow" attribute.

Of course, I really can't say much more without seeing the site - and I would really appreciate it if you started your own thread for that (and then PM me with the link to the thread so I can follow it).

Keep it up Dan. I really love it when people do their homework and have proof to their expertise and not just blowing air out of their rectums. You post(s) in this thread carry a lot of weight.

I am glad to have read through the post, because I would have loved to post some of your info in my blog. But I see you have reserved all rights and so you should for all the time and effort you put into it. I would have given credit and appropiate backlinks to sites et cetera to you.

 

That was actually a very good quality post. Not many people take that much time to make a post that is really meaningfu. Thank you, I appriciate you for doing that and I thank you for the quality information.

 

No problem. Like I said, this thread was originally a knee-jerk reaction. Kinda what happens when someone gets pissed off and decides to do something constructive about it. The next version won't be though. I'll actually put some time organizing everything into it, and avoiding the 20,000 character limit per post problem too.
