It is really not worth the money I should say, I will use half of the money to get High PR one way links on some big directories and rest of the money(if still remaining) on PPC to drive some more targeted traffic
I was just about to pay up the $299 but one thing has stopped me from doing so. The category I would be listed in does not appear in Googles cache. I presume then that my listing would be invisible to Google and not pass any rank / trust? If anyone can confirm if this is the case I would appreciate it as we already rank well in Yahoo but most people in the UK use Google.
Yeah, I decided against it. Others have it right... just submit to more good quality directories for less the money. I actually blew my wad on writers of content. I guess that should be #1 at this point.
If you are a million dollar business then why not waste 300$ on a Yahoo directory listing...If not, then it's not worth it. Simple ROI.
Better to use that money to submit to other quality directories and banner advertisement give you more traffic.
Yahoo has a lot of traffic. Even though it's directory isn't the main source of traffic, I think it has enough cloud over it to be worth that much per year. Anyway, it really depends on how much you are willing to spend on link and the rep benefits.
