I am planning to buid a page of my site which as a animation in form of a cricle in the centre and links surrounding it. To make youll understand i have drawn a outlay of it. Its here So what i want to know is 1) How do i start? 2) For animation ill be using flash. So is it posible to make the stage circular or the animation in a circle and place at the centre? 3)Ill be using a background image for the page so if the animation is a rectangular as it usually how do i hide the white portion then??? 4)For the links thing i am planing to use buttons with hover effect so placing them in a circular pattern sounds a bit difficult?? Can any one please guide me here.
well, there is nothing to guide you... you have the main idea. from there, you will need the ability to do it in flash (the animation), html&css, and photoshop for graphics. if you have specific question it will be easier to help u out
Well Design the BG Image First .... Paste it in Flash and design the animation. For your 2nd Question the answer is NO. You can keep a Circular Background and Mask the rest of the area to create your intended Circular effect. I couldn't really get you on the buttons, please elaborate on that.
Ok specific question would be like how do i make the flash circular. If i draw a circle and create the animation in that area itself then the rest part or the flash stage would be wisible according to me. So i was looking to make the flash in a circle itself instead of the normal default rectangular stage of Flash. Is it posible to do that way.
Oh sorry I think i wasant much clear above. Isant it. Ok the thing is that I dont want the whole page to be of flash animation. Instead i only want the centre portion animation and rest every thing would be normal HTML and CSS and where i can any text or any thing whenever i nee to. Hope this makes it a bit more clear. Doing the whole page on flash was comparatively easy. But that would take bit time to load every time. Secondly adding text and any other stuff at the perepheral later would be problem.
Just embed the swf on the html page. Or do you want the flash elements to move on top of your html elements ?
ya i intend to embed it. But in that case ill need to draw the same image design on the flash background which is on the page background. Isant it??? Cos i dont think ill get to make the stage circular without the corners of the flash animation.
