Getting rather annoyed with Adwords

Right, campaign was running, great QS, very cheap clicks. Then, every single keyword went to Poor, for absolutely no reason that I can see, nothing was changed. The keywords are the absolute most accurate and targetted possible.

Set up a new campaign for same site to run aswell, can't even get an ad to show - says my bid is too low for the auction when it's double the minimum bid they set due to so called 'Poor' QS.

    What a joke.

    "nothing was changed"

Are you sure about that? ;) Ads? Landing page? Ad groups?

If you don't change anything, Adwords can't change anything in your campaign

Yes, try to wait a day or two :) And if it's the same after that, then try to contact Google

Have you tried putting your keywords in quotes or brackets?
    "keyword' or [keyword]

This is supposed to help with placement.

On the other hand I've had poor results with adwords in general promoting clickbank ebooks. Are they too expensive?

nick I think google just had a few new changes and its looking really bad at this time. Adwords is just getting really stupid honestly. I would suggest to you also use yahoo search marketing. You dont deal with a machine instead its a human who reviws your stuff. Unlike Google where its just thier algorithim. For example I tried an experiment. I set up a targeted landing page. Then I bid on these keywords. "How to make more money", "How To make money", "make money". And here is what it was giving me-

make money- min .12 cents (not bad)
how to make money- .45 cents (?)
how to make more money- $1.20 (what the flip?)

Now those keywords have differences, but they cant be that far off by each other i mean 12 cents for "make money" and then 1.20 for "how to make more money". Its soo dumb.

There can be such be big difference, because it all depends how many advertisers are bidding on that specific keyword. If "how to make more money" is $1.20 then it means, it converts well, so people are bidding on it.

Also minimum bids don't just depend on that specific keyword. Bids depend on how well your campaign is created(keywords+ads+landing page)

In my opinion, Adwords is much better than YSM.

Sometimes it doesn't matter what your quality score is, you just have to bid higher for some keyords to activate because of competition.

The point is, it doesn't just suddenly increase by ~ 10000% for a fairly unpopular term, obv a cock up somewhere affecting the campaign.

If you quality score is "Great" no matter what the competition is, you can pay 0.05$ and appear in sponsored results, but of course, you positions won't be high
