what can i do with $27 paypal?

so i have $27 just sitting in a verified paypal account. i have since closed the bank acct that i originally used to verify the acct so if i want the $ i have to request a check. waiting 2 weeks for $27 doesnt really excite me, so i was wondering how can i invest or use this $ to create any gains.

i know this is pretty vague but i figured id see if there was anything useful i could do with it.

    thanks for your time.

I guess you could use it to purchase advertising for any of your sites or ventures, or a subscription to a magazine you like or to a website.

    Do the $27 challenge.

Buy hosting for a month ($5).
    Buy 27dollarchallenge.info ($2).
Setup a blog and write about the amazing 27dollarchallenge and how people can do their own 27$c.
    Allocate advertising budget ($20).

    And there you go. ;)

Interesting idea, but even though a .info domain is so much less expensive, it'd be better in the end for a .com domain - even though it'd take up a lot more of the original $27 budget.

Still, some valuable traffic would be lost to the .com domain, and in the long run if the site would ever be sold, a .info wouldn't go for nearly as much. Plus, .info is the type of domain that's used most often for spam sites.

But, I agree, $27 doesn't leave you much to work with. And even if it's just for an experiment, $2 isn't much of a loss if the site wouldn't escalate into something big.

I agree that .com is better for most cases. If I was serious about a project, I would choose a name based on if a .com was available...but in this case it kinds of suits it - shows the site was made on a budget. Heck, they could 301 a .com to the .info later if it was a success.

I'd buy a few aged domains suitable for selling Niche products and then put up a sales page on each domain. $27 should be enough to get 1 or 2 sites setup if you buy wisely. ;)

wow, thanks for all the great replies guys. my only problem is that i am clueless as to how i would effectively spend the advertising "budget" (lol), having said that, i have decided to invest the $27 into whadyapuck.com....NOT.

on a serious note, if anyone is willing to mentor or school me a bit, i will give this a shot and split whatever gains are made or we share in the agony of failure :p

You can also article write (free of charge to you) and make nice money. I wrote 12 500 word articles for $185 the other day.
