Adsense revenue sharing

I see that this forum, like some others, enables revenue sharing from Adsense.

Does anyone here make any real money from such revenue sharing, or is it just an interesting gimick?

I like the idea of revenue sharing from Google ads - it seems quite democratic and is a neat way of rewarding regular contributers to the forum. Are there any problems with using Google Adsense for this kind of shared revenue? It doesn't seem to directly contrevene any of their terms of service.

Who came up with the idea in the first place?

 

I got it installed on one of my forums and going to install it on another. It's not that much income, really.

 

You can make a few cents here and there and sometimes get a click or two. Overall, I think I made a couple of dollars since I have been on. I am not sure who first came up with the idea.

 

regarding the amount, it depends on how much traffic the site gets. if the site itself doesn't get much traffic, there's not much revenue to share.

regarding problems, we've had it on one of our sites since 2005, no problems whatsoever. i even wrote to google about our site and told them. back then there were no other sites that i know of who were doing this.

i also implemented adsense revenue sharing at our new project (see sig). actually, the contributers get not just 50% but all of the revenue, so the term "sharing" is misleading.

 

you will not get rich from it, just pennies. if you post like crazy and have thousands of posts, then few dollars but thats about it

Most of the people on this forum are webmasters. Webmaster don't click ads, do they?

I've been more active on DP recently and made $0.30 from 1 click today. I installed the adsense a few days ago. So I think its worth it.

 

a penny saved a penny earned! Well, it is better than getting nothing at all like most forums.

 

I think if you are really active over here then and then only you will get some cents per month.. other wise nothing. So i dont think that this is such a great point to discuss..

 

You won't strike it rich with revenue sharing but it does add up

 

unless the ads is SOOOO attractive ..

 

Along with Forums there are also some articles / blogs revenue sharing sites like Revenue Sharing Articles Directory . So you can also try theme.

 

even i never received from google adsense to allow me in order that this forum/site can acces my adsense code.

 

I have it enabled on my own forum too. It might be giving some cents to the users but from the admin point of view the admin is sharing his 50% or so with users. So I think it is the best he can do

 

If you do take part in revenue sharing you can also see about getting listed here. It's the biggest active list of revenue sharing sites, I'd say.

 

I agree with most people's comments; you will struggle to get a few dollars from it.

 

I'd like to increase my traffic by allow users to implant their own adsense.

But without using this Google APIs, will my site get banned if my user get banned.
(means user put their ads code directly)
p/s: each user is given a subdomain to do blogging..
