Hi, I currently have a Wordpress blog in the root directory of my site. I would like to replace the blog with a new script that I will be running and would like to place a link on the homepage of my new script that will link to my current Wordpress blog. Is this possible? If so, how can this be done? Is there a writeup on how to do this? Thanks. Rich
I'm not really following your dilemma, but it seems you should be able to find the index.php of your new script and manually add the link to your blog in it.
Hi, I am not sure it is that easy - but I hope it is. As I understand it a Wordpress blog has to be entered via its on index.php, others the variables/parameters get all messed up. But if it is as straightforward as you say, that would be great. I would appreciate it if someone could verify the process. Thanks for your help. Rich
I am not sure what you mean....If you replace your blog with the new script wouldn't the blog be gone.....if you move the current blog to a new sub domain then you can certainly add the link on the index page of the new script.
Hi, Essentially, I am trying to preserve the Google indexing to all current blog entry permalinks when I put a new script in the home directory. The blog and its entries have pretty good traffic that I would not want to lose. Hope this explains the problem a little better. Thanks, Rich
