I am not sure what u read about getting banned, You are allowed adsense on main page of a proxy, but all hosts dont allow proxies to be hosted. Make sure with your host before starting a proxy.
After some time proxy websites eventually get banned at schools, work places, by web filtering software (websense, etc.), etc..
Are you sure you want to do that? lol I currently have 6 proxies and not making anything yet -_- I think im doing something wrong I'll just wait a month and see how it goes
Wait until school starts up again, hopefully next week in most cases, then promote your proxies through newsletters (proxypromotion.com, proxyshout.com, promoteproxy.com, addvertise.info) This will give a boost for your proxies.
horrible advice, this not only send you trash traffic you get smart priced from google and you end up only getting 1-2 cents per click. which means it totally kills your chances of making any good money through proxies.
There's no actual fill rate in AdBrite. I just do the math myself. See what I've got from one AdZone today: View of AdZone: 17,079 CPM impressions: 336 So the full fill rate is now 336/17079=2%!!!! It was still above 20% on any day before today. What's going on?
honestly I use private techniques which generate me like 300$ a month per proxy i haven't dealt with proxies normally in awhile. Your best bet would be to try and get indexed for a good keyword or list it on a proxy forum, and send it out to your myspace friends. It will spread like wildfire through myspace.
How do I get the code box which is hosted on the footer of most proxies ??? It kinda looks like a link exchange code but I do not know where to get it from ! Anyone ??? Thanks
What code box? Do you mean the topsite buttons? You just signup for some proxy topsites (Google it) and they give you a code, which you may place on your site for higher ranking with them, and maybe more exposure. PS: Proxy topsites suck IMO.
Try to read the whole thread, and you will find something. However, you'd better keep away from topsites, especially the new ones. they never bring you traffic. so submitting is just a waste of time.
Sorry but have some more newbie proxy questions: 1) Can we target traffic from a geographical are or country? Would the location of hosting affect which country the traffic comes from? 2) If your proxy site gets banned, does that mean the site will get less traffic and there is as good as dead and therefore can discard the site? Thanks
I'll try to answer that. 1) I do not think the location of hosting affects the country of traffic. Although many popular proxies have blocked middle-eastern country's since they almost never click an ad, thus no revenue, thus a waste of bandwith. 2) Naa, if your proxy gets banned from a school, it still isn't in a lot of other schools. Best to do is start with a few proxies, it's not so much work. I got 6 proxies up in 3 days.
