IMHO, indexing is no longer much of a concern for website owners since google indexing robots is now getting more aggressive. I have my websites indexed within just few minutes of being online. The focus should be on getting on top the SERPs.

I do not quite agree with your pointers.
Indexing is part and parcel of SEO. Getting your website indexed is different from getting your internal webpages indexed. You may have 300 webpages but how many are in the main index.

Check your main index by typing this --> site:http://www.yourwebsite.com/*
Then check indexed pages by using this --> site:http://www.yourwebsite.com

You minus the indexed pages with the main index pages and there you go, the number of pages that is in supplemental pages. I do know that Google has announced the use of supplemental pages in SERPs but only rarely will it appear in SERPs for competitve terms.

IMO you don't need to pay search engine submission services in order that your site will be index...Just only provide a good content...I agree with sakto. One of my site got indexed in less than an hour....

i understand what both of you is trying to get across.
I do write that we do not need to pay for search engine submission services in order to get indexed by search engines. Writing only good content will not tell the search engine that you exist, eventually you will still need links to the the page to get indexed. It may be your good content that gets people to link to you but it is still the links that count the votes for your site.
