When saying "make money online" are you talking about freelance work, or monetizing a website through Pay Per Click, Affiliate Marketing and so forth?

    If freelancing, then go to:

    www. rentacoder.com
    www. getafreelancer.com
    www. elance.com

    If monetization:

    1. Buy a domain and hosting server
    2. Buy a website design, a template or make one yourself
    3. Write content or buy it for your website
    4. Place ads/affiliate product
    5. SEO and promote like crazy
    6. Pray that it works

Good luck in your career as an internet marketer!

I agree that this seems the best method for a beginner especially if you apply for Adsense.

Do beware of the pit traps in Internet, remember there is nothing as a free lunch and there are tons of scams out there on the Internet.

pick something like a tube script.... For example there's a TON of adult places you can submit links to and get tons of traffic relatively easily. monetization is a little harder with adult but really it all depends on trying a LOT of different programs and finding what works.

Thanks for the pointers so far but the thing is, i dont really know how to do any of this, and in reply to nosfar i dont really want to be posting in peoples websites for money because that isnt really teaching me anything neither is that any progress, it sounds like a long shot but at some point in the future i want to be earning a decent amount of money off the internet, or even enough so i could work from home, and i just dont think im going to get there by doing things like that, if you know what i mean.

Yes, if you do not have such skills these are not suitable for you. You can follow Tudi advice

    If monetization:

    1. Buy a domain and hosting server
    2. Buy a website design, a template or make one yourself
    3. Write content or buy it for your website
    4. Place ads/affiliate product
    5. SEO and promote like crazy

I have found great success with membership sites. They are fun, you can make them about anything that you are interested in and it can help to generate a nice residual income.

    freelancing means many things

    - SEO
    - Design
    - Coding
    - Writing
    -Data entry

So not necesary a coder i'm a seo freelancer and i earn quite good without knowing any design or coding ...

As for websites you could start with a blog (installling WP wordpress is so easy)

I would suggest Wordpress. It's easy to setup and maintain, it's VERY widely supported, and it's free. You can get themes to make your site look unique. The publishing of content is easy with it. And the best thing, for someone who might not know html, php, asp, xyz, you don't need coding knowledge. You can worry about the content more than thenuts and bolts. Find a hosting provider that supports it. Get signed up, install Wordpress and start writing!

I like Bluehost personally. I've had good luck with them, plus:
    1. They can provide you with a free domain name as part of the hosting package.
    2. They support Fantastico, which makes it easy to install Wordpress and other tools.
    3. You can add domains names with no additional charge for hosting.

Check out the sites in my signature, they were done in Wordpress.
