I was wondering, what sites do you think earns most of adsense. This is supposed to be a discussion! We all know that traffic is the most important thing, but what do you think earns best? Proxies? Forums? Blogs? etc..
Assuming that traffic is the same for all sites: Information Content Sites have good CTR... so they would be the best, IMO. Least would be Forums. This is also assuming we are talking about CTR, since earnings depend on niche. Then it'll just spark another long thread (one of many) with useless information on what's the best niche.
Let's not do that then ^^ I think same, I was thinking of starting some sort of tutorials website or something... So my opinion is: Tutorial/guide websites
I think you are looking at the problem from a wrong angle ie. you can't really say that for example proxies earn less than forums which earn less than blogs per se. The important thing to consider is payouts per click which relate closely to the site's niche and (all things being equal) the site's purpose or functionality does not really matter.
It's a distinct segment of a market. When people talk about it related to Adsense, it's about creating content for which there are specialized advertisers that pay well for it, for instance, like mesothelioma was.
Now the answer will lead to the HPK - High Paying Keywords for that particular blogs, forums, websites... 1. Niche 2. Traffic 3. HPK What else?
I tend to agree with you on this, people looking for a solution to a problem are likely to be open to clicking related links in order to get information about whatever it is they are having issues with. Also i hate to say it, but if your guide is rather basic or lacking a decent solution you will probably achieve a much higher CTR.
Content that attracts motivated buyers. If they are looking to buy, they are more likely to click on relevant ads, and also more likely to actually buy something which helps keep you from drastic smart pricing.
Affiliate systems? A friend of mine just told me what he is about to do. He's building a 'general store' using amazon affiliate, and will get in top of google for a few niche keywords. Yes, he's extremaly good in web seo... thats why I would add: 5. SEO
If you know you can drive traffic that's interested in buying, why would you even bother with adsense? I mean, if you know you've got motivated buyers showing up why not sell them whatever they are motivated to buy?
Because that's not the kind of business we're in, nor have any interest in being in. We're only interested in providing quality articles and informatin, not getting into all the hassles and risks of selling products.
Information sites and blogs about health and medical conditions earn the most from what I read here in the forums.
