You can listen to www.rprradio.com and they will have live reporting from Iowa, and reports of results phoned in.

The MSM will probably not have the same depth of coverage, because at least one voter protection scheme will have people in every single precinct, making sure there is none of the hanky-panky that screwed Pat Buchanan.

Remember, 3rd is a great result, so let's hope for that. Huckabee can't win in NH if we get a 3rd, and McCain and Thompson will be almost done.

In 2000 there were about 88,000 Republican caucas voters and 61,000 Democratic caucas voters.

In 2004 there were about 124,000 Dem caucas voters.

I predict the dem caucas voters will be about 1.5 to 2 times the total number of rep caucas voters.

Stormfront would be so proud :D

    "I, however!" - heh!

Good luck to you guys though. Should your predictions defy everything I've read, maybe RP will earn the right to get some media scrutiny. Probably not, though.

And yes, fourth = 1st! If you are ron paul supporter, the rules of reality do not apply!

Looking forward to tomorrow and all the spin ;)

    Estimated total votes:

    Dems about 239,000
    Reps about 120,000

Dems outvote Reps by about 2-1.

Exit polls suggest about 20% of voters in dem primary were independants = about 48,000 voters

Same exit polls suggest about 13% of voters in rep primary were independants = about 16,000.

Come the general election--it appears independants are swinging massively to the democratic side->at least via this first primary!

earlpearl - If this first primary is any indication, the Democrats will not only win the general election, they will win in a landslide, especially if the Republicans nominate Huckabee. But really I don't think any of the Republican candidates will be able to bring the Republicans together. The Republican party has become too fractured to go on. I think Dubya may have destroyed the whole thing.

I agree. I think Dubya put a big hurt on the Republicans and Independants. I'd bet whomever the Repubs nominate they'll do a lot of backtracking from Dubya once the general election starts.
