How many of you earning pretty good from Stumble traffic? I cant even see a penny from stumble traffic. Whats the problem?
My guess is that stumblers tend to keep on stumbling once they've glanced at the page they're on. People who are stumbling from website to website via Stumble are different from those who come via a search engine. They are in a very different frame of mind, and they also usually have their stumble bar turned on to make it easy to go somewhere else. If someone is "stumbling" on their own by searching via a search engine, then your ppc ads can make an easy and attractive next click. With the Stumble bar, however, you're pretty much screwed. That's been my experience anyway.
I've had an increase in traffic by using Stumble, but it's just artificial traffic. No targeted visitors and almost no clicks I would guess. Targeted search engine traffic is king.
Stumble traffic is not targeted so it not = more money Masybe it get's some $ but nothing comparate to % of cobversion on organic traffic
I'm not sure about "no follow," but I know that people who know a lot more about SEO than me suspect that it might get counted in some way regardless (along with all the other popular social media sites). My impression is that it might get counted as a different "genre" of link ... if that makes sense.
a page on one of my sites was stumbled the other day. lots of visitors but not even a click. i rate stumble traffic equal to pop up traffic. they both count as visitors and neither do a darn thing. maybe its my niches, but i have a broad base of sites. stumble has not worked for any of them.
You are very right on this one about stumble. search engine traffic are far much better than those coming in from stumble or any other social bookmarking sites. This might be because most users of s.b.sites are webmasters or SEO and they tend to neglect the clicking scheme as they already know how it works so it just adds trafic but not clicks with which you can earn money from.
Stumble when you get bored, on a long term is not really worth of it. You better spend your time on link building.
