I have came up with a simple Idea. Everyone has heard of T.V. Guide. you know that book that shows you whats on T.V. every week. Well, I took my Name...and Decided to Create frebeguide My concept is not only very simple but informative. I wanted to put a site together that was free to use. But also listed sites that work and sites that don't work. Sites that pay and those that don't. This is my first true website that I am designing. I finally got rid of Freewebsite hosting programs and offers. (this has been limited me in what i wanted to accomplish. and put allot of unwanted ads on my sites.) It took me a week just to get my site this far so I can advertise it. So Please review my site. and please let me know what you think and any improvements you might think I need to do. http://www.frebeguide.com
Some comments for you. I like the basic intent of your site. I like that it's direct and straight to the point. Suggestions on how to improve it. Graphic style: The page feels tight and constrained. I would add more white space, cut down on the amount of copy and make it easier to navigate. I believe that visitors are smart, but don't like to do any real work to find content on a page. I had to spend a few minutes reading everything down the first page to understand what to do. I would suggest a set of links on one of the sides of the page titled: "Programs I use to make money" or something similar so that people can more easily get to the real valuable things you are offering. Adopt a web2.0 style for your site. I think people will feel more comfortable if the graphic style looks new. Add CSS so the subpages look formatted like the rest of your site. You might want to consider putting all of this into word press and finding a free theme where you can simply add the graphics how you would like. Doing this would allow you to focus on your content rather than focusing on creating your page. I guess it all depends on your focus. Copywriting: I would simplify the text you use on the page dramatically and even use some conventional copywriting techniques (bold headlines, short paragraphs, bullet points) to make it easier for visitors to understand what you are offering. I would cut the text you have there down by at least 50% and put any detailed explanations you want to give on a separate page that those interested can read(about us page for example). With the remaining text, I would get right to the point with clear and concise comments like "I want to teach you what I've learned about making money on the internent and it won't cost you a thing. The links on the left point to different systems that I have tested that work." Seems like enough feedback to get you started. Have fun!
Yes you gave me allot here thanks for imput i am working on this now....I have done the free sites but some of the programs such as newsroom won't run on freewebsites hosting because of violations of T.O.S. I am new at this and picked a templete that seemed easy enough to use and operate....It going to take me a few but I am working on each point you brought up...thanks for your imput...any other ideas lurking around out there?
I agree with more graphics. I think that more graphics on any site is what lures in the user and gets them to the next area of the site.
Page didn't load for me. I think the domain would be too hard for people to tell others to goto.. "frebe" is not how you spell "Freebie"
i was updating my site sorry.....that is why it probably didn't load....I have tried that name before years ago but it was taking already...so i shortened it up to frebe (pronounced Free be) I am a guide trainer / general manager of a few forums being what I do mostly is guide people to be the best that they can be on the Internet and earn as much as they can while doing it is how I came up with frebeguide. I want to be able to guide people for free in order to earn money. Everything on my site http://www.frebeguide.com I have done for free and it hasn't cost me a dime all the way down to the server that I have it on now. It took me years just to earn money with nothing and now that I am doing it and posting proof that it can be done. What took me years to do I show people how to do in days, weeks, months even. well that is a little background on me and how I came up with the idea and the site. Thank you to all those that have commented I have been taking your comments and working on the changes on the site. It takes me a while but I am getting there i think.
It looks well designed. There is a small pictorial feature and everything appears all formal. As with other site reviews, one useful feature would be the addition of a search function. (Keyword search)
ok thank you for your help on this...I am trying to get the search engine to work on it but time consuming for me but i will keep trying. I have made some new improvements though so far.....still working on other suggestions
Take the text out of center alignment and make it either "Justified" or "left aligned". Right now it looks like an online sales letter. I think at least putting the text into a more business-like alignment will enormously improve how it's perceived by your visitors.
right now I make on average about 50 dollars a month just off the newsroom alone. On top of that the new PPP should hopefully bring in money too starting in Feb. 08. (So i am hoping ppp is going to double my earnings) this is when they state that they are going to start paying out. I have google adsense which I am going to add to it and in the process of doing. I plan on making more money through this site by duplication...If I only get 1 person who can average 50 dollars a month off of the newsroom and they will follow my steps in the programs I am running. not only will they sign up for the other programs in order for me to build up my referrals and earnings but also they will work the programs. Most of the programs are free. but with my latest check from newsroom for 78 bucks I am now searching for a program to invest money in to see how well it will work and if worthy to be marked program site or scam site. I am actually looking for mainly free programs that people don't have to spend money in order to make money. But there are allot of legit programs too that ask people to pay to join. Problem is that so many people pay out to much money out of pocket for programs that don't work. That is the whole idea behind what I am doing.
i like the template however the banner is a bit plain, the contact us link should be at the same size as the other links it looks stupid now. the content is nice and clear and the order of it is good nice site!
