I was hoping that someone could answer me on this please if I was going to start a SEO campaign should optimize for singular or plural terms, for example, should I use Hotel or Hotels, Venue or Venues? Thanks
ahm, simple suggestion, use a keyword research tool and compare which has a better number of searches, if it is the singular or plural form of your chosen keyword.
I agree. You'll want to first target the terms which have the highest search frequency. You'd be surprised at the differences in traffic for variations of the same word/phrase. Don't discount the lower frequency ones though. After you're ranking solid with you main KW's you can optimize some inner pages for the others. Btw, I used to post here as 'crashingflwrgrl' but have since lost my log-in info and don't know which email I signed up with. This is me starting all over again.
corlock hit the nail right on the head. Every situation and Web site is unique, and therefore has different needs. Applying a one-size-fits-all "solution" to your site is a sure-fire recipe for disaster.
off course, you must have to sort those suggested keywords of your tools and apply your own technique On page -Optimization.
Yes, just like that, if you promote the plural of a KW, you are promoting also the singular of that KW, if you get page 1 with the plural, you get page 2 to 4 with the singular, then you just make a very small effort and you have the singular KW in page 1 also.
