Stop being afraid, Google is not God

I think people in this forum should relax a little bit and stop being so afraid of Google's famous "TOS".
Almost every post I read here has someone warning someone else about Google TOS, how they shouldn't talk about their stats, CTR, etc....
Relax people....who cares about Google's TOS.
Google is not God, why are you so concerned what is going to happen to you.
If you don't post your URL link in you signature and if you don't mention your URL in your post, then you can talk about anything you want.
    Stop being paranoid.

After all, why shouldn't publishers be able to talk about the stats? Stats are just the facts about our site, they calculate these stats, we don't have any control over it, so why shouldn't we talk about it?

So, the point is, if you don't release your personal details, stop being afraid of Google, they are ripping us off anyways.

That's what I have been saying Google only share the same initials as God, thats all! They are only a company, a big company but just a company.

Well, ultimately, Google has the end say on your account status. It is in best interests to be concerned about how you act within their ToS

I'm not sure I get the antagonism toward Google in a lot of the posts on this board. I mean, Google doesn't want thousands of people to sign up for AdSense accounts and not have them be successful. That's a waste of time both for themselves and their advertisers. They seem to me to make every effort to make it possible for AdSense publishers to succeed and make as much $$$ as possible. It just doesn't make business sense for Google to arbitrarily cancel accounts just for the sake of canceling accounts -- unless, of course, publishers create website environments that don't really create any value for users, and by extension, for their advertisers.

    Your two cents?

Google exists and God doesn't... hmmm, who's got the power? ;)

If you're in it for a quick buck and don't mind getting banned then you ignore the TOS... personally i'm playing the long game...

Agreed Adsense publishers success means Google success. But there are huge Adsense accounts and small individual Adsense accounts. I feel that they penalized the small ones a lot maybe to set an example for their advertisers to let them know they are taking actions. We can see from the forum, a lot of banned Adsense publishers. Are all fraudsters, maybe a lot are, but there are definitely some who are banned unfairly.

i don't have anything against adsense, i also use it, but i just don't like how people are so extremely concerned about their "tos", stats, ctr, etc.
some people on this forum are behaving like they are google's own lawyers, they just keep repeating what's against tos, what shouldn't be talked about, etc.

if you have a good quality web site with high traffic, there are much better opportunities for you to monetize your site, it's not end of the world if you loose your adsense account.

I totally agree with you in a way 'SomeUser' although DP is full of members who generate a full-time income through AdSense, hell Shawn Hogan (owner of DP) is a millionaire through AdSense. People who are generating a lot of cash through AdSense need to abide the TOS in order to keep accumulating these huge figures through the program.

Although you are right by saying they are not God, but they are important financially to some people's lives. Although I think what some people don't get is that Google is not the only money maker out there, I wouldn't even say they are the best - although I think they are the easiest to get accepted into.

I mean look at people like John Chow and ShoeMoney - they don't even have AdSense on their websites, and have you seen John Chow's December monthly income report...WOW! that's all I can say, and no AdSense in sight .

I don't know. Probably nothing. Google doesn't want you doing it. So don't do it. Don't like the rules, to play with google, go somewhere else. No one here is a victim of signing google adsense.

And google is god. I pray to it every night before bed.

I'm sorry to tell you pal, but you're wrong. Since you're not praying to the right God(Google), when you die, you'll be sent straight the sandbox.

Reminds me of Pascal Wager :)

God exists (G) God does not exist (~G)
God exists +∞ (heaven) −N (none)
God does not exist -∞ (heaven) +N (none)

If you believe God exist and he did really exist your benefit is infinity, if not you does not lose much and vice versa.
