Hi, I have a list of e-mails (from opted in clients) that I need to send a message to. I extracted them from my MS Access database, so each e-mail is on it's own line. What program or mailing script can I put these into so I can send them all messages, while making it look like I'm sending the e-mail to them individually? Thank you for your input.
theres a script call PHPList that will do this for you ... but you need tohave your own domain and install it ... PM me if you need more info Starlord
PHPlist runs into a problem sometimes if you are on shared hosting. It tends to send out too many emails too quickly and get your hand slapped. There's a program called Groupmail5 which is free. You can get it at http://www.group-mail.com You have to be very careful still to comply with the anti-spam regulations and be sure to put in a way to unsubscribe and a contact address etc. If you are changing autoresponders, you can offer them something for free to go and sign up again.
The latest version of phplist has a "throttle" built in now so you don't flood the server memory, a very useful tool but yep you do have to careful about spam reports ... Starlord
starlord, Thanks, phplist worked like a charm, only took me about 30 minutes to fully setup, import e-mails, test, then send the first one to them successfully.
I use this script, http://www.notonebit.com/projects/mailinglist it allows you to import your list, and its free. Its a PHP script, so you will need your own domain to install it on. Phil
