I guess it would depend on the keyword you are targeting.. But as for me, it's less... add up more...
You haven't mentioned that this is for a single page or for the whole site. It is better to target 2-3 keywords for a single page, I personally prefer 1 -2 key phrases for a single page. Now multiply this with the number of page you want to optimize in your site. If the number of pages is too less and your targeted keywords are more, then consider to put more content pages. It really depend upon how large your site is.
Im_Sam put it pretty well. Keep your results per page low... In fact for me I typically base most of my sites around very few keywords in general
Agree with Im_sam. One big advantage in spreading out keywords over multiple pages is being able to get more of those keywords into the filename (pathname) portion of your pages' URLs. For example, if you try to target 10 keywords on one page, only one or two of them can comfortably fit into the URL. For example: http : // www . yourwebsite.com /keyword1-keyword2.html (or something like that) is all you can do with all the keywords targeted on one page. But if you write, say, ten distinct keyword-focused pages, aiming each one at one primary keyword, then you have: http : // www . yourwebsite.com /keyword1.html AND http : // www . yourwebsite.com /keyword2.html AND http : // www . yourwebsite.com /keyword3.html AND ... on to ten pages, each with your main keyword as the filename in the URL. Having the keyword in the URL is a big plus, SEO-wise.
I think u will be OK. Problem is though serach engines like niches, so too many and u will end up diluted
I shall have to experiment with that. I thought the more keywords the better. But now I know it isn't that way.
Yes, indeed — the more keywords the better. But that's over the entirety of your website. It's not possible to effectively optimize a single page for a large number of keywords. It's better to focus each page on a few keywords and do a good job on them.
If this is for one single page and not for whole website that is too many but if it's for the whole site... you need more
I agree with the suggestions mentioned, throughout a whole website, split into pages for one or two keywords per page you can easily deal with more. But regarding one page you dont want to try cramming that amount.
